(Optional aftercare 4–5:30 p.m. for an additional fee. See below.)

Location: Moore Fine Arts Building

Camp Description

Join instructor Molly Walter for a creative pottery camp where students explore the art of hand building while connecting to nature! Campers will learn how to shape clay into fun and functional pieces including whimsical toad houses, hanging bird feeders, and bee and butterfly baths which are perfect for adding charm to any garden. Campers will experiment with different techniques such as pinching, coiling, and slab building, all while connecting with nature. By the end of the camp, students will have a collection of beautiful, handcrafted fired works to take home and enjoy, all while helping to create a welcoming environment for local wildlife. Come get your hands dirty, spark your imagination, and let your creativity flow this summer!

On Friday afternoon, campers will display their works in a makeshift gallery setting and invite friends and family members to view their creations.

This camp is open to all levels from rising 7–12 grades.

All camp materials are provided as well as light snacks & bottled water. Students are required to bring a bagged lunch.

Optional aftercare $100

Students are welcome to stay until 5:30 p.m. for a supervised session of outdoor free time, games, and more.
