Meet your 2021 MHU Alumni Board Leadership and New Members

The alumni board is your formal representation to the university administration, among other things “maintaining and strengthening connections with alumni; serving as alumni representatives to the university administration and trustees; and encouraging and promoting alumni participation in MHU activities.” New officers: McKelle Ulm ’02 as president, Jameson Donnell ’12 as vice president, and Kelly Holdway ’02 as secretary. New members are:

Kiel Bollero ’14, Charlotte, NC

• Employer: Ginkgo Residential (commercial real estate agent)
• SGA president during his senior year at MHU and VP during his junior year; member of cross country team; member of Business Honors Club
• After MHU, he attended University of North Carolina at Charlotte where he received a Master of Science degree in real estate

Justin Gragg ’12, Hudson, NC

• Employer:  Lockheed Martin (financial analyst)
• Served as presidential intern; member of cross country team; earned MBA from WCU in 2016

Monnie Griggs ’94, Bahama, NC

• Employer:  Child Care Services Association (director of technical assistance)
• Active participant in many MHU special events; homecoming reunion event liaison for class of 1994; worked as a phonathon caller while she was a student; established a scholarship in memory of her friend Jennifer Coup Caballero; has a niece currently enrolled at MHU

Barry Moore ’90, Mars Hill, NC

• Employer:  Library Coffeehouse in Mars Hill
• Active member of the Kappa Alpha Psi fraternity and provides mentorship to the MHU student chapter (the student chapter is the only national African American organization at MHU)

Charles Harbison ’95, Charlotte, NC

• Employer: recently retired from Bridgestone
• Worked with Firestone leadership to explore creating and expanding diversity initiatives for its employees
• Played football at Mars Hill and was a four-year letterman
• Three of his children are also MHU alumni
