Together We Rise
Elevating the Student Experience
Mars Hill University’s Together We Rise campaign will create a modern new space that will inspire moments of connection and reflection. It will be a place where friends meet and work and relax and experience life together, creating lasting memories at Mars Hill University.
$100,000 Challenge Underway
Trustee and Together We Rise campaign chair Wayne Higgins, class of 1975, has put forth a challenge to help complete construction of the new campus center. Wayne has pledged to match, dollar-for-dollar, every gift to the Together We Rise campaign between now and December 31, 2024, up to $100,000. If enough donors step up to fully meet the challenge, that will add $200,000 to our campaign total.

New Campus Center and Campus Beautification
As we hear frequently from President Tony Floyd: Mars Hill University is rising. There’s an air of excitement and growth, a sense of campus energy and momentum that we want to accelerate even further. A range of physical campus enhancements are already under way that will improve an already beautiful campus. But we’re not stopping there. Hence, the Together We Rise Campaign
A new Campus Center, designed through the lens of the student experience, serves as the hub of our vision. This stunning, modern facility, will result in enriching the student experience through a new Fitness Center, new food options, community and gathering spaces, and ease of access to services such as Student Life, Career Development, Campus Ministry, and Financial Aid.
Further reshaping of our campus will include the addition of beautiful new terraces, updated landscaping, patios and plazas linked by attractive walkways connecting the historic parts of campus to the new. These efforts will achieve more than just improving the view. They will expand the overall experience at Mars Hill in a way that will drive increased student recruitment and retention and make even the everyday practice of being on campus more positive and pleasant for students, faculty, staff and visitors alike.
The Together We Rise Campaign will result in this new Campus Center and enhancements to the Lunsford Commons (Quad). We invite you to make a campaign gift today!

Campaign goals and opportunities to participate
This capital campaign to deeply renovate our campus has set an ambitious goal of raising $24 million toward the overall project cost of $29.1 million. This will only be possible with the ongoing support of supporters like you who share our vision for Mars Hill University. Support can come in many forms, including:
- Cash
- Marketable securities or mutual funds
- Gifts of insurance
- Gifts of real estate
Commitments may be made over a two- or three-year period.
