Lions, Peck earn USTFCCCA All-Academic awards

The Mars Hill University women’s track and field team and freshman Kylee Peck earned 2019 US. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) All-Academic awards, as announced Monday afternoon.

Peck set a school record in the high jump at the Montreat College Invitational, recording a mark of 1.67 meters to win. The Friendsville, Md. native earned a provisional qualifier for the NCAA Division II Championships.

The trio of Peck, Tiffany Holloway and Shaniqua Stevens earned USTFCCCA All-Region honors at the conclusion of the season.  The Lions boasted an overall GPA of 3.1.
