Disc Golf Sanctuary
The Mars Hill University Disc Golf is a sanctuary of natural beauty which features a variety of indigenous plants and trees of Western North Carolina, while at the same time offering picturesque views of rolling green fairways surrounded by steep mountain slopes. The holes are laid out in a complete circle around the back side of our campus, utilizing approximately 30 acres of land.
The course is one of the most beautiful and challenging courses in the region. It includes a range of tight wooded shots, open manicured fairways, extremely quick greens, and lots of out of bounds. In addition to six par fours, the course showcases the iconic hole #7 with its 400 foot top-of-the-world shot with an amazing view of Bailey Mountain. The course’s elevation changes will challenge your stamina and provide memorable vistas. Truly a destination course.
Enjoy the views. Challenge your game. Renew your spirit.
Contact Brett Johnson, at bjohnson@mhu.edu, if you have feedback about the course or if you want to connect with others who play the course, help with course maintenance, host a tournament or want a free disc.
