ABOUT THE STUDENT HEALTH CENTER

The Mars Hill University Student Health Center (SHC), located in the lower level of Nash, is the health facility for the campus community. The Student Health Center is part of the Student Life Division and the MHU Student Care Team, and works collaboratively to assist in each student’s physical, emotional, and spiritual development during their college experience.

The Student Health Center is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for students. Mars Hill University accepts responsibility to uphold and enforce North Carolina Public Health Law, and considers recommendations from the American College Health Association and U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Medical Instructions for New Students Onboarding to MHU

New students entering MHU are required to complete a medical self-history form and submit childhood vaccine records. These records should be submitted once an incoming student has committed to attend the university, but no later than June 10th for Fall enrollment, and by January 1st for Spring enrollment. Please note that students cannot move into the residence halls until all forms are submitted and cleared by the Director of Medical Services.
