Theatre Arts Presents: 9 to 5

Mars Hill University theatre department is proud to present our production of the iconic musical “9 To 5” with music and lyrics written by Dolly Parton and the book written by Patricia Resnick.

Get ready to be thrilled! With catchy tunes, quick-witted humor, and an unforgettable cast you can’t help but cheer for, “9 to 5” bursts onto the scene as a hilarious and powerful tribute to female empowerment, workplace shenanigans, and the relentless fight for equality. Join Violet, Judy, and Doralee as they turn the tables on their outdated boss and show that when women come together, there are no limits to what they can achieve!

The production opens on the 27th of February at 7:30pm and runs until March 2nd. The show is directed by Chelsey Gaddy and choreographed by Amanda Hoyte, with music directed by Kenneth Eggert. The main cast features Ivy Brooks, Jordan Speece, Blaine Hovis, and Nathaniel Ogden. Other talented cast members include Seabron Echols, Fernanda Guerrero, Aero Seagle, and many others.

Other members of the creative process are Briana Falls as wardrobe lead, Nathan Thompson on sound board operation, Brooks Harris on lighting operation, and Sasha Wallace as stage manager.

The show is recommended for ages 13 and up, as it contains adult content.

Tickets are $25 for adults, $15 for children, and free for Mars Hill University students and staff with identification on the day of the performance.
