Hurricane Helene – October 6 Update

The University Counseling Center will resume daily operations beginning Monday, October 7. Office hours will be available from 11am – 3pm daily, or by appointment outside those times. Faculty, staff, and students are all welcome. In-person, Zoom, or phone sessions are all available. Reach out via counseling@mhu.eduor 828-689-1196. 

The Center also will be hosting a Hurricane Helene Support Group Meeting on Monday, October 7, at 3pm in Nash 109. A Zoom link will also be available by emailing the Center.

As previously announced, classes will remain suspended through Wednesday, October 9, and Fall Break will be October 10 and 11.  At this time, the University plans to resume classes on Monday, October 14.

Residence halls will remain open for the week of October 7.

The dining hall is operating on the following schedule for the week of October 7:

• Saturday & Sunday: Brunch 9:30 – 11:00am, Dinner 4:30 – 6:30pm
• Monday through Friday: Breakfast 8:00 – 9:30am, Lunch 11:30am – 1:30pm, Dinner 4:30 – 7:30pm
