Hurricane Helene Update – October 14

Classes Resume

Classes resumed today following suspension of classes for Hurricane Helene and Fall Break.

Homecoming

Most homecoming festivities and events have been canceled, but the football game on Saturday will happen as scheduled. At the game on October 19, MHU will honor “Heroes on the Field,” our local community members who have responded with unwavering courage and selfless dedication. Our first responders, law enforcement, local leaders, and volunteers stand as pillars of strength in our community.

The Lion’s Growl pep rally still will happen on Thursday, October 17, at 7:30 p.m. in Chambers Gymnasium. Homecoming Court will be recognized during the Lion’s Growl. Students should have received a message Monday afternoon from Brooklyn Hunter (via University Communications) with information about nominations.
